A friend of mine (who is not a big Johnny Cash fan) just saw the movie and raved estatically about it.  Since he knew I was a fan, he pretty much demanded that I go see it!    As far as Cash recommendations, I would strongly recommend the live albums  'At Folsom Prison' and 'At San Quentin'.  Both have been recently remastered with lots of additional liner notes and pictures. 

And speaking of kin of Cash, I would heartily endorse 'I Fell In Love' and 'Musical Shapes' by Carlene Carter and pretty much every album by Rosanne Cash.  Carlene is the more country-oriented of the two.  Rosanne started out as country but veered toward Folk-Rock / Adult Alternative.
