I have yet to have any luck with Pandora, but I did get the
opportunity to grouse about that to someone who actually works with
them a couple of weeks ago when we were out in western MA visiting
some old MIT friends of my wife. My first complaint was that it took
something like my eighth try for Pandora to recognize an artist I
typed in. The second was that when it finally recognized an artist
(the Dresden Dolls), it kept insisting that if I liked the Dresden
Dolls, I would just LOVE Tori Amos. Um, I get that they're both
redheads playing piano, but...no. Keep trying.
Pandora has the potential to someday be very good, but it still
strikes me as being very much in the early stages of a work in
progress.
