Another big thanks to John and Bruce from me too. I worked in some of these
tunes at a 50th birthday party for a friend, along with more current stuff
like creed and third eye blind, and people really got animated. There was a
whole group of middle aged housewives pogo'ing to Little Bit of Soul, and
multiple people asked about "Smile a little smile for me. They loved the
Sneidern version. Cheers, Gary

I was at a party last night with about a dozen other forty-somethings.
Everyone was talking about grown-up stuff and listening to grown-up music
(some faceless lite-jazz-funk) when I went out to my car and got a copy of
RIGHT TO CHEWS: BUBBLEGUM CLASSICS REVISITED.
Now, I've "programmed" music for a lot of parties over the years (I wasn't
throwing this one) and I've learned that it doesn't pay to spend too much
effort on it; usually, people just don't take notice.
But RIGHT TO CHEWS was a huge hit! Song after song put a grin on everyone's
face. A surprising number of people noticed that the tunes weren't the
original versions and actually wanted to find out who the artists were. I
got to pitch several of my favorite bands.
So thanks to Popdude John Borack for putting the project together and Not
Lame's Bruce Brodeen for putting it out. I wish this sort of thing happened
more often...
Drew
