Hi

Well I can add no personal knowledge to this and you may already have found
this yourself but I've just had a search and it seems that the two main guys
in Liverpool Echo Martin Briley and Brian Engel were in a whole bunch of
bands in a relatively short space of time as this quote from Briley attests

*"Mandrake, Corn and Seed Merchants, Prowler, Starbuck, Liverpool Echo, True
Adventure ....... it was all the same thing to us."

Could it be that the tracks you heard were by one of those other bands but
credited to Liverpool Echo incorrectly.

Interestingly Liverpool Echo were signed to AIR, George Martin's production
company.
