Fine choices, all three. "Hang" was a great pop tune (and had a similar hook to the fab early dB's single "I Thought You Wanted To Know"), and it was the song that really turned me on to The Mosquitos, having purchased that demo tape at the first show I attended. "I Know A Secret" is on their EP, so clean versions of that are available, but the demo version (much faster, and without the guitar solo) is far superior. "Darn Well" would be the best choice for the Children of Nuggets box, as it was the lead-off track on ROIR's great "Garage Sale" cassette-only compilation. Now *that* is an album that should come out on CD.

That was a truly excellent post Mr. Brodeen. By the way, I'd like to ask people to go into more detail on recent releases, such as what songs they really like on an album they dig, and why, rather than just give an overview or a brief description. This is a great source for deciding where to spend hard-earned dough, and I'd love to hear more about what's worth checking out, including indie releases. Thanks in advance...

Be seeing you,
Bill
