Thanks,Kelly, for the heads up on that. They sound like I would dig them.
Detroit's Slumber Party sound like they could have been on Flying Nun.
When i saw them play I asked Aliccia Berg if she was influenced by Look Blue Go Purple and she said she was a huge fan of Flying Nun stuff and sent demos to Flying Nun but only heard back from Kill Rock Stars to which they signed.
Also this just in on a Fountains of Wayne newsgroup:
Fountains of Wayne is scheduled to play the WRNR FREE FALL FESTIVAL on
Saturday, October 22nd.
Admission is FREE, NON-TICKETED, ALL-AGES, and it is a RAIN OR SHINE
EVENT. This years festival is located on West Street in Annapolis, MD.
The concert starts at Noon with FoW taking the stage from 6:00-7:15 PM.
