S. Mason, re: R. Hitchcock's pop output:
<<From the days of the Soft Boys:
I Wanna Be An Anglepoise Lamp
Leppo and the Jooves
I Wanna Destroy You
Kingdom of Love
Positive Vibrations
Old Pervert
Underwater Moonlight
Only the Stones Remain
Wey Wey Hep Uh Hole
Have A Heart, Betty (I'm Not Fireproof)
He's A Reptile>>
Nice list, but Stewart neglected to mention what is quite possibly the Soft
Boys' poppiest track ever, the glorious "Queen of Eyes," which is all Bydsy
jangle.
D. Seaman:
<<Raspberries - Golden Blunders (From a recent chicago show soundcheck)>>>
What's this??? Raspberries doing Golden Blunders? Somehow I just can't
imagine it...>>
Actually, it's not as far-fetched as you might imagine...Eric Carmen toured
as part of Ringo's All-Starr Band a few years back, and Ringo covered "Golden
Blunders" one one of his albums and played it on tour, so I would assume that's
when Eric learned it....
