The first song I remember is Edison Lighthouse's "Love Grows Where My
Rosemary Goes." My ever-handy Whitburn says that this charted the
last week of February, 1970, which would have been the week I turned
eight months old, so I assume that one of my sisters had the 45.
Probably Dawn. So I'm sure I must have heard it after it was a hit;
there's precedent, since my other two favorite songs when I was a
toddler were the Box Tops' "The Letter" and the Mercury 45 of "Rapid
Transit" b/w "Cynthia Loves" by the Robbs, both from '67.
