It's a brand new song not related to the XTC song. Eggers sent Partridge a
number of song ideas and one of the songs was a piano demo called "receiving
me" Partridge sent Eggers back a completed song demo with drums, vocals,
guitars etc. ...Partridge wrote the new lyrics and music to the chorus of
the song. I believe that initially the Nines were trying to convince Andy to
sing on the track as well but I have since heard that the song was
rerecorded by the Nines.
