The History of Violence is on my list of movies to see, and the discussion of on this list did not spoil it for me.

But speaking of hype and movies, I just saw the movie Proof. I think it is a good movie, but perhaps not worthy of the huge amount of praise it has been getting. However, what really gets me is the trailer for it that I just saw on TV. Based on edits used in the trailer, you could be forgiven for thinking the movie was a romantic comedy. I won't give away details for those who haven't seen the movie, but trust me, this movie is anything but a romantic comedy.

It reminds me of the trailer used for "Lost in Translation" where an audience could get the impression that the film was just a wacky Bill Murray comedy. Look...it's Bill trapped on an exercise machine...or singing bad karaoke.
