Hi Mark !
Let me know a little in advance and I will check out who's playing where.

About "Inside The Whale" : the first couple of albums were in English as I
remember. The Leadsinger is one Marcus Winther-John now lyricist for Tim C.
and thier (ITW) guitarplayer is part of Tim C's liveband. He has got his own
band now which I haven't heard called "Boat Man Love".

shineOn...:-)

Hi
I am definitely interested in this. My wife is Danish so on our trips there
three times a year or so I am always interested in Danish music to listen
to. I was disappointed at first that so few of the bands actually sang in
Danish, mostly it's English, at least for the bigger bands. I would
definitely highly recommend Tim Christensen and Mew (and I haven't heard the
new Junior Senior but there's a track on it called Take My Time that's just
brilliant) although as you say they sing in English. There is also Saybia
who if you like Coldplay you might enjoy, though again, English. Tue West's
first album I have but it was a bit too polished for me, there was maybe
only one track that I really liked (though it is in Danish).

The best I can come up with given my limited knowledge is 'Inside The
Whale'. They've split up now and I personally found their albums a bit
spotty (your mileage may vary) but they had 3 or 4 records all sung in
Danish. One of their songs 'Louise(så snart det bli'r morgen)' I put on my
SOTT 17 compilation (alongside Mew, Tim C, Saybia and The Raveonettes).

Next time I'm there I'll definitely have a look for some of your suggestions
Fjeder.

Cheers
Mark
