Wounded Bird re-issued a 2-fer-1 of the first two KINGS albums ("The Kings
Are Here" and "Amazon Beach"). The band had offered to work with Wounded
Bird on the re-issue as "Amazon Beach" had never been issued on CD before
and the boyz had already made a digital transfer of the release years before
under the hope that Warners in Canada would eventually put it out as they
had done with the first album under the band's tutelage.
What The Kings had hoped was that they could edit two of the songs which had
been left on the album against their will by original producer Bob Ezrin.
Nothing serious, just an edit of two embarassing passages that the band felt
had sabotaged the flow of the record. The Kings were also willing to supply
liner notes, photos, etc. to make the package more palpable to the fans.
No such luck. The response the band got was "We don't work with the acts
because they haven't got a clue".
The CD was released with a PINK cover....no liners....minimal credits...and
a sub-par analog master.
