Holy Fuck Me In The Morning!!!
Just got through listening to and reading the liner notes for the CD releases of Roxy, Wackering Heights, Hot Wacks, and Shredder...
Other than crying like a schoolgirl and remembering way more shit than I should, I am blown away.
I never thought I'd see this stuff exist, let alone be moved by the lovingly accurate liners, the beautiful digital transfer of the music, and the ridiculously fond memories hearing this stuff has evoked.
Kudos to Collector's Choice, Rhino, Jac Holzman, Mason Williams, Dave Kapp, and rock archivist, Richie Unterberger, and label head, Gordon Anderson, for finally doing this material justice.
With CC in the US, and Bullseye in Canada, we may finally see this music get the props it deserves.
I also listened to the Segarini Sampler we're giving away tommorrow night at Club 279 at The Hard Rock Cafe, to the first 100 people that show up. Jaimie, Peter Kashur, and Seb Agnello, have done an amazing job putting the package together. Thanks to all involved.
The Wackers and Roxy stuff will be available for sale tommorrow night at 279, but there are a limited amount of copies.
I'm so thrilled with all this, I could kiss Godovitz...well...maybe, if he's brushed properly and flossed for intimacy.
BTW, I just got called "Music Legend, Bob Segarini" in an ad for tommorrow morning's Breakfast Television on CITY TV, heard Gloria Martin wax poetically about me on 680 News, and had my Landlord ask me where the fuck this month's rent is. It is truly a glorious day.
BT is interviewing me, the new band is playing two tunes, and they're using clips from the Segarini Band Simulcast from the Palais Royale from 1979, and shtick from Ty Templeton and my's "Late Great Movies" Show, as bumpers for BT tommorrow morning. Drink heavily and call in sick...

Thanks to all, tell your family you love them, and look both ways before you cross your fingers...I'm going to dance a little dance and pat a kitty...

bib
