>Yeah...let's bless all the people that stop their "friends" from taking
beloved music to a new audience as well as those of us that want to hear it
again.<

WTF? Who's stopping you from hearing it again or exposing it to a new audience?
Isn't that what re-issues and catalog releases are for? And I'm guessing there
aren't too many people who haven't heard The Doors -- not if they're within
spitting distance of a classic rock radio station.

>Saw Doors Of The 21st Century in Canada...bloody great, and Ian Asbury
certainly does justice to the tunes. <

So nothing stopped you from experiencing it again, right?

>If Densmore wants to cling to some
hippie silliness in the name of "integrity" or whatever, let him...but music
is made for people to listen to and experience, not so someone can go, "hey,
man...I was in this band back in the day..."<

I don't think it's so much about "I was in this band ..." as it's about
maintaining that not everything is for sale. Agreed, music is made for people to
listen to and experience. It's not made so Cadillac can use it to sell product
to people under the pretense that will help them recapture some of their lost youth.

Of course, that's just my opinion. I could be wrong.
