I caused uproar at a movie theater once - I took my GFATT (girl friend at
the time) to see The Gods Must Be Crazy. We were maybe 20 minutes into the
movie when we ran out to get popcorn (I hate to leave movies midstream for
almost any reason, but this girl HAD to have something to eat and I would
have regretted it had I not honored her request, er, demand). On the way
back to our seats, she looked up at the screen, stumbled over someone's
foot, and dumped the whole large tub of buttered popcorn directly onto the
heads of the couple in front of us. After apologies, we couldn't stop
giggling, to the point where we were laughing at everything, even the wrong
lines, couldn't stop, and had to leave the theater. Only time I ever left a
movie that I was enjoying.
Oh, and there was that time that me and my buddy up the street flicked dots
and juju-bees at Sean Connery's face during Thunderball. (Well, I was only
about 8 or 9 yrs old at the time...) I guess that event would have been
considered an uproar, seeing that the ushers made a big deal of tossing us
out.
And now for some music related discussion:
In an upcoming gig, we're thinking of doing a medley of 70s rock
operas/musicals, just for the sheer kitsch factor and audacity of it all:
Pinball Wizzard from Tommy
Good Morning Starshine and Aquarius from Hair
JCS and I Don't Know How To Love Him from Jesus Christ Superstar
Summer Nights and You're The One That I Want from Grease
The Time Warp from Rocky Horror PS
