I think it's been a pretty slow year for music. Lots of "just ok" things,
but not too many that have gotten stuck in my player for an extended period.
However, Jack's Mannequin (Something Corporate lead guy) and It's Revenge
are fighting each other for time at the moment. Jack's Mannequin is a great
piano based pop disc, mixing a (very) little of the SC sound with more of a
Rocket Summer/Ben Folds feel. And It's Revenge is the record Tsar should
have put out as their 2nd. Killer hooks with a need to be played extremely
loud.
Also just picked up the new Wisely, but am disappointed after the first few
listens. His older stuff grew on me over time, so I'm hoping this one does
the same.
