@@@@ Have you offered to pay him to come or to set something up for
him to come?

A few times (maybe 3-4 times in 8 years), I've also asked him to

@@@@@FWIW:

Sorry, but my guess is that what your hoping he would post isn't
something he puts as much value in as you do or he simply doesn't
have the time. Naturally, I really couldn't say or possibly know…
other I don't think it makes him a bad guy. Probably makes him a
human. Does any artist really owe us anything for plugging their
music or buying their music? I don't think so.

My experience with Chris is that he's a bright, funny and sweet guy.
At his show in Minneapolis, he noticed my wife wincing a bit per the
loud music of the Autumn Leaves. He rushed out to his van and grabbed
a pair of earplugs for us both. Yes, maybe a small little gesture but
a kind one. That's more my impression of him. I hosted 2 living room
shows with him in the past and caught him live in Minneapolis a few
times. At one of the shows, someone had complained about the artwork
on a CD of his per how it was cut or something. I think it was posted
on Audities. Chris showed up at the show with a new CD with new cover
art for the guy. Again, a small thing but for me a telling one.

I personally feel a bit embarrassed even sharing what I have
regarding Chris (which is saying something coming from me) but I feel
even more uncomfortable with the list discussing his character. Just
my opinion.

Best, Steve D
