Stewart writes -
"Several years ago, I saw the American Analog Set (who have a pretty good new album out on Arts and Crafts) opening for...some one of the Elephant 6 bands, I believe. They had a guy who usually only played a few measures per song, on anything from guitar to keyboards to a cymbal that he played with a bow. The rest of the time, he just stood there. No backing vocals, no percussion, nothing. I always thought that was admirably ballsy."
I saw Myracle Brah a few yesrs ago at Arlene Grocery. Andy Bopp invited this fellow named Marshall to stand on the small stage with the band. I mean he just stood there, through the whole set. Once in a while, on request, he lit a cigarette for the bass player.
And I remember watching a video for the Blue Aeroplanes back in the day. It showed the dancer who was on stage for each song, dancing throughout.
See ya,
Sherman
