Thanks for the props. I used to be much more rigorous about the list of shows on the NY Power Pop Page, but I hope it helps.
I saw Deathray Davies/Oranger/Posies in D.C. last night. The Deathray Davies had this guy on stage who played marracas or tambourine all night. I said to my friend - "Does he get a full share of the profits?" I would have enjoyed Oranger more if I knew the songs beforehand, but they fit in with the loud sound of the Posies afterward. The Posies were awesome, they are the power in power pop, meaning it's high volume, high energy rock.
The new IKE album "In Real Life" is IMHO extremely ultra-highly super-duper recommended! They had three hundred people for their CD release party and are getting mega-publicity in their Philly home.
