Just checked, and Mike McG isn't listed as an Undertaker. He was in Scaffold?? or
Grimms... probably that one.
There is that whole circle of artist/poets that did the above two and Liverpool
Scene. A favorite of mine, just for a song called Tonight At Noon, which Weller
surely heard... (speaking of, he was awfully ordinary the other night on Conan)
and The Fleetwood Mac Chicken Shack, John Mayall Can't Fail Blues... I found three
or four LS albums back in my early radio days, and glad for it ever since.
As for the Jackie Lomax>Apple connection... Eric Clapton's painted SG went to
George, who gave it to Jackie, who gave it to Todd, who smashed it at a gig... ( I
worked with a guy who had been a roadie, and said they all watched in horror as he
tossed that axe... been fixed since)
So I guess you need to get McGear and Is This What You Want.... the latter being
one of my all time fave Beatle spin offs...
