Wasn't McGear in the mersybeat era Undertakers?
I remember reading some HitParader type story as a kid that he took pains to
distance himself from brother Paul. The accompanying photo spread showed them
on their motorcycles, their signature transport to all gigs. I think
Jackie Lomax
was also an Undertaker - thus his Apple relationship.

McGear was also part of The Scaffold, a mix of music, poetry & comedy.
They were on several TV series.

I second the McGear thumbs up (have lp).
