Last tour, I asked the same question. The big exception was that the big
hits Paul usually plays couldn't be included and no Beatles songs. I
also wanted a separate acoustic section. I put together several songs
and Stewart threw them together in order. Here's a slightly modified
version (Stewart had some great selections by High Llamas and John
Southworth, but I wanted to keep it to all Paul songs except for the
Lennon medley). Damn, what I'd pay to see this live!

FIRST ELECTRIC SET:
Venus and Mars/Rock Show
Getting Closer
With a Little Luck
Listen to What the Man Said
Put It There
Old Siam Sir
Helen Wheels
Daytime Nighttime Suffering
Uncle Albert
Tug of War

ACOUSTIC SET:
Bip Bop
Ballroom Dancing
Goodnight Tonight
Temporary Secretary
Single Pigeon
San Ferry Anne
Veronica (co-write w/Costello)
Silly Love Songs

SECOND ELECTRIC SET:
Let 'Em In (ideally, this would be started acoustically with just Paul
and
the drummer, and the rest of the band would fall in)
Too Many People
Big Barn Bed
Take It Away
Press
This One
I Lie Around
I've Had Enough
Goodnight Tonight
1985

ENCORE:
Instant Karma/How Do You Sleep?

Subject: solo McCartney set list challenge...

OK, let's pretend that McCartney wasn't in the Beatles, and that he was
just this guy that had a band called Paul McCartney & Wings, and had a
really successful 70's career, and a somewhat less successful, but
still around, sort of career to the present day.

Would we be bashing him as much? Or would we think of him as this
awesome pop/rock guy with a big catalogue of hits and rocking tunes?
But I digress... here is the challenge.

So....

What is his set list? And I just don't want a alphabetical list of
tunes. Using his current or past set lists, replace those tunes with
all solo stuff. Remember that the big hits would have to be there, like
"silly love songs" and "goodnight tonight", as well as rarely performed
album cuts, like "beware my love", "run devil run", "love in song" or
even something like "angry" off 'Press to Play'.
