I remember when this topic came up before, because many of us - myself
included - provided possible set lists of strictly solo material that he
could perform...and just the THOUGHT of it made me giddy...so count me in
the camp of people who are disappointed by the set list this time around.

Don't get me wrong, I've seen Paul twice, and, both times, seeing and
hearing him performing Beatles songs resulted in enough emotion for me to
shed tears of joy. (Then again, I also cry at the end of "Snoopy Come Home"
when Snoopy does indeed come home, so getting me a little weepy is like
shooting fish in a barrel.) But if he did a tour that was advertising as
all solo material - even if he was a little scared about the reception and
took the tour to smaller venues - don't tell me that it STILL wouldn't sell
out.

Sometimes, I think McCartney is so buried by the legacy of the Beatles that
he forgets that he has legions of fans who actually listen to his solo
albums. Was "Wingspan" not a success...? I mean, I know it was no
"Anthology," but I thought it was a nice 2-disc summary...though not the
full box set I still have high hopes of seeing someday...
