He also co-wrote "Flying" (the instrumental off 'Magical Mystery Tour') but 
you don't see him dragging that out either.

I have two rebuttals to this "hits" mentality.

1) "I've Got  A Feeling" and "I'll Get You" were never singles...let alone 
hits...so why drag THEM out of mothballs instead of, say, "I Lie Around" or 
"C Moon".

2) As Stewart mentioned before me, McCartney's had a HUGE solo career with a 
lot of #1's. He could easily fortify an evening with solo hits. Off the top 
of my head the singles alone are a what's what of his career:
