I don't know, but the company is currently using "There Goes the Sun" by the
Pernice Brothers. I was in shock when I heard that last night. And Chevy,
twisting and gutting Sweet's "Teenage Rampage" to sell trucks is, um,
different. Surprisingly, the version by Bo Donaldson & the Heywoods might
just be superior and could be the best track they ever cut. The oddest thing
is that advertisers and sports venues think the Ramones wrote "Blitzkrieg
Bop" and nothing else. To be fair, I did hear "I Wanna Be Sedated" at
Veteran's Stadium back in 1998. (The crowd voted for it over a Gin Blossoms
song.) Still, when a visiting pitcher is lifted, couldn't they play the
choice parts of "Glad to See You Go"? And did any of the five NBA teams that
Keith Van Horn has played for ever blast "Van Horne" by Chixdiggit!?
Different spellings and context aside, that chorus could whip up a crowd.
Attention: Mark Cuban.
