Tghe "Listen, Listen" comp was released in the States on Varese several
years ago. I'm not sure if there are significant track differences
between the just-released UK version and the older one.
Emitt Rhodes is high up in my pop pantheon. One of the great,
less-discovered talents in the history of pop music. If you believe,
like I do, that Macca's early self-produced work and the Zombies'
"Odessey & Oracle" are essential late '60s/early '70s pop, then you will
love Emitt Rhodes' work. Run right now to get that Merry Go Round comp.
Love that stuff!
