An interesting (possibly apocryphal) footnote to the Keith story: a late
'70s article on The Ramones (possibly in Rolling Stone) quoted Joey Ramone as
saying he once auditioned to be Keith's drummer. As Joey finished telling the
story, Marky Ramone clearly had no idea who Keith was ("Keith ALLISON?," he
asked). Giving up on the point, one of The Ramones (probably Johnny) threw up
his hands and said of Marky, "Never mind him--he's from Brooklyn." CC!
