Jeff:
The critical reception has been mixed, but I'm thoroughly enjoying this
record. Unlike a lot of hardcore Mould fans, I've actually enjoyed his
recent forays into dance music.
The new record, on the whole, incorporates that electronic stuff with his
traditional guitar-based attack quite well. The track you're thinking of, I
believe, is "Shine Your Love Light Hope." There's also a tune on there
called "Paralyzed," that sounds like vintage Sugar. The only difference is
that the main riff is played on a synth instead of a Strat.
There's also a couple of tunes on there that sound like they could have been
on "Workbook," as well.
I say give the record a shot. It's one of the few records I've listened to
in a while from front to back in one sitting.

john.
