Baby Lemonade are a perfectly good band in their own right. An
extremely good one in fact. Why on Earth reduce themselves to the
level of a tribute act? This is like if the Wondermints got Al Jardine
to tour with them if Brian stopped touring, and called themselves 'the
Beach Boys band'.
I could understand, and applaud, their honouring their previous
comittments because of Arthur Lee's unprofessional behaviour. But
Arthur Lee was the reason for going to those shows, and he was the one
who had used the name Love for his various bands for decades. He was
the songwriter and lead vocalist. Why not just continue making records
and performing as Baby Lemonade, rather than use the Love name? They
could still perform many of those songs, but this seems to me to be a
very sad decision.
