Has anyone else been digging a band called "The Uncle
Devil Show"? The late 2004 release called "A Terrible
Beauty" is simply outstanding in my book.
It's actually Justin Currie's (Del Amitri)new project.
It's sort of like Del Amitri with attitude. Still
very melodic and packed with those Del Amitri style
great harmonies....but the songs are a bit more
ascerbic. "Bimbo in the Limo" just slays me! I
highly recommend this CD. I've been sort of
re-discovering the entire Del Amitri catalog in the
last month or so....one of those bands that writes
great songs, but even better lyrics! Love them.
Another CD that has not left my CD player since I got
it from NotLame over the weekend is the new Josh
Hoskinson "Miscellaneous Heathen". Man...every track
is fantastic! It's rare that I can listen to a CD
once and say that EVERY track I just heard was really
good.
