Here are some answers to Scott's questions, courtesy of Seth Swirsky. Feel
free to forward this to the Material Issue list.
>Just what is going on with this track?
>Did Seth Swirsky and Scott Cutler know Jim?
i was set up with jim in the spring of 1991 by jim's manager, jeff
kwatinetz. i was also wriiting with scott cutler at the time. i suggested we
3 get together, and at scott's house in laurel canyon, we wrote this simple
song.
> And when did Rusty Anderson come into the picture?
scott got a basic demo going and told me he was going to have his friend
rusty anderson come over and play electric guitar on it. i remember rusty
really brought a certain aggression to his playing--very cool. i've run into
him a number of times over the years -- he remembers the session with jim.

> Ham solo discs released on Ryko in which oversdubs were added to existing

no. it was a song that jim, scott and myself wrote, for a jim solo record.
but, i'm not exactly sure about that. i don't think it was for Material
Issue. i solely wrote for other artists at that time -- i think this was for
a jim solo disc.
> Also what is the "designee" word referring to?
> Is it referring to Jim or Seth Swirsky?
Though EMI did some research, they didn't know Jim's publishing
information, thus the "designee". I'm published by EMI Music.
