Here is what I have with oh so much to still hear.

1-Sylvie Lewis- "Tangos and tantrums" Best by a mile. This years Nellie Mckay
only better.A modern cabaret artist with a twist. Simply stunning!
2-Jason Collett- "Idols of Exile" Solo turn by a Broken Social Scene
member. Some great pop here."We all lose one another" and "I'll bring the
sun" are standout tracks.
3-Teenage Fanclub- "Man Made" What can I say? It's the Fanclub and I love
them.A real group effort.Extra points for recording it in Chicago.
4-Ed Harcourt-" Strangers" Just when I thought he was due for a fall he goes
and gets stronger. There is a strong vibe to it from the very first
track.Extra points for recording it in Sweden and having Jari of the Bear
Quartet produce.
5-Zincs-"Dimmer" A quiet beauty at play here.Almost a Sea and Cake feel
here."Beautiful Lawyers " kills.
6-Antony and the Johnsons_"I'm a bird Now" A real discovery.Since he can't
duet with Jeff Buckley Rufus will do.A morning record right after a little
Caetano or Sarah Vaughn.
7-Doves- "Some Cities" Who doesn't love "Black and White Town"?
8-Heikki-"2" Beautiful harmonies reminiscent of the Roches.I just love the 2
bonus tracks.I play this album a lot!
9-Mockers- "Lonesome Death of Electric Campfire" Great power pop.Just makes
a car ride a pure pleasure.Love the videoclip of "The Emperor Strikes Out".
If you love pop hooks this album is for you.
10-Elope-"The No Name Record" All hail the power trio.A swedish group that
loves Cream and Neil Young and the Beatles. And the album certainly reflects
that.
11-Soundtrack of our Lives-"Origin vol 1" Am I alone in my love of this
groovy album? Have not heard a lot of talk about it, but I love it.Sweden
rules!
12-Brendon Benson-"Alternative to Love"-More excellent pop.Cannot have
enough.
13-Kathleen Edwards-"Back to me"- Even stronger than her debut. This album
and the second from Tift Merritt get a lot of play at my place.
14- Bright Eyes-"Im Awake.." Can't forget this one.Coming from a fan since
the brginning I do really enjoy this one. However I do think his best work
was his recent performance on Leno. That was something.

Song of the year -Sylvie Lewis- "When I Drink"- slays me every time.the way
she sings it.
Best re-issue-Manic St. Preachers- "Holy Bible" 10th Annivesary edition.
Would you believe my very first Manic purchase? Love the dvd.
Top dvd's -Flaming Lips- "Fearless Freaks"
Brian Wilson-"Smile"
