Eugene Record, the great soul singer and composer who founded the Chi-Lites,
died on Friday at age 64. He had suffered from cancer for some time.
"Have You Seen Her" and "Oh, Girl" are the Chi-Lites' biggest hits, but
Eugene also wrote two enormous hits for and with his first wife, the late Barbara
Acklin. They were "Love Makes a Woman" and "Am I the Same Girl."
