F*cking awesome...

Despite looking a bit long-in-the-tooth, I thought musical they were really
tight.

The original 4 piece augmented by 4 additional players. Carmen and all were
in fine voice especially for guys pushing 60(?)At points I counted 5 people
singing at one time, the harmonies were world class/dead on and they rocked
pretty hard. They definitely didn't play it like some of these half-hearted
oldies acts. 2 hour set, all the songs you'd want to hear and then some.
They came out for the encore as just a 4 piece which I thought was a classy
move and played some covers followed by the return of the rest of the band
for "Go All the Way".

All and all they really seems genuinely happy to be there playing together
again and they said so. I thought the music reflected it as well.

Funny aside, I saw Matt Pinfield - Mr. Alternative, ex-MTV 120 mins host
turned A&R guru - standing a few feet from me dancing to The
Raspberries...pretty hilarious but not surprising. Most major-label, A&R
guys I've known were always closet power-pop fans :)

Anyway I hope they do more as a band, it's a shame if they don't.
