Here is one for you."Walking a Changing Line".It is an entire album of Jules
Shear covers.Solo Jules song and Jules and the Polar Bears songs. Now I am a
huge Jules fan.I collect all his stuff. But Ian does a beautiful job on these
pop gems.Because it was on Windham Hill there was atour and I saw the show
in Chicago. He did the whole album plus a few of his own.I was a music retail
manager at the time so I was invited to go out for food after the show with
Ian .It was very cool.Ian had many stories about Jules helping him pick the
tunes. This album was the first of a project for the label. The idea was to
record other albums of all one artist.I suggested Todd Rundgren and Ian said
that was already a consideration.Alas the Jules album didn't sell and the
project was dropped. But I have fond memories of the evening.
I do believe it is out of print but still available here and there[perhaps
used].I think it's a great album.
