Just wanted to let folks know about a special benefit concert this Sunday
evening, July 24 at the 2005 International Pop Overthrow Festival. Proceeds from
ticket sales will go directly to the Boys & Girls Club, a most worthwhile
organization. Here's the scoop:
IPO Benefit Show benefiting The Boys & Girls Club
The Joint, 8771 W. Pico Blvd., Los Angeles (310 275-2619)
Tickets: $8.00
7:30PM Glowfriends (Ethereal pop from Michigan, featuring the lovely
April Morris)
8:00PM The Popdudes (I'll be playing drums. We do covers. Much
hilarity will ensue)
8:30PM Barry Holdship Four (Rockin' stuff that's sure to get your rump
shakin')
9:00PM The Shambles (San Diego's finest - superb mod-pop)
9:30PM Lisa Mychols (She rocks! She's a girl! She's a rockin' girl!)
10:00PM Static Halo (High-energy sounds, also from San Diego)
10:30PM Jeremy (Guitar whiz, ace songwriter and the nicest guy on the
planet.)
