Hey all

The day show on 7/23 right up my alley even though the club lacked air
conditioning. The show started off with some lovely tunes by Kat Parsons.
Next up with Mr Kerry Kompost and his guitar. He entertained with some
tunes that were very much in the XTC vein. He is just so delightfully
enigmatic. The Proper Villains did a really nice set. Stefano is one of
the singers in this duo. I just love that guys voice. Up next was John
Ashfield. This was good solid pop set and by the way John does a mean
Keith Partrigde :-) John was followed by John Hoskinson. I thought John H
turned in the best set of the afternoon.....Wow. Now for the Dons. This
incarnation was Don Don (Mogil), Don Kerry
(Kompost) and Don John (Borack). I totally enjoyed hearing the hearing all
the old Dons but I did miss the lush harmonies.

Sunday evening festivities started off Glowfriends. Unfortuneatly I
arrived during the last song. Next up were the Popdudes consisting of Mike
Simmons and Jaime Knight (Sparklejets*UK), Kenny Howes and John Borack.
They did one of my favorite XTC tune......Life beings at Hop. They also
did a really fun version of King and Tut and Kenny belted out Me and Mrs.
Jones. How cool is that? The Barry Holdship Four was actually the Barry
Holdship Three until Mike Simmons joined them on drums for the last tune.
I was singing along to all the tunes. I was glad to see the Shambles play
as they are always one of my favs. They sure know to come off with the
perfect 2 minute pop tune. Lisa Mychols was up next. I have to say this
was the best set I have recently seen from her. That girl can rawk!
Jeremy ended the evening with a bang. Wow does he have endless energy

It was good seeing Stephen Thorn, Jeremy, Todd, Judy, Arthur Bang, John B.

I managed to listen to the IPO cd. My favorite tune
is by the Blue Cartoon. Disc 2, Track 12

Cathy
