I think you mean Rockford's finest.
But I also think Cheap Trick is one of the few exceptions.
As Lee stated,Albini has and will produce outside that genre but I have to wonder what the Pixies or especially the Wedding Present's Bizarro and Seamonsters would have sounded like with another producer. Maybe better-maybe worse.
