I used to be pals with Darren Hooper, the Strippers bass player. Believe it or not, around 9-11 they got some death threats & various other grief from having that name. They couldn't believe it...Hoop's Mom was afraid for him to go on tour & stuff. lol. 

I used to have one of their stickers on my car, & once got a taste of  road rage from a "middle Eastern" guy that I could only chalk up to the sticker.
