Sam:
Well, I am a fan of Portishead, Mono, and Hooverphonic...although my interest in the whole trip hop genre has waned quite a bit. And apparantly it has waned for these groups as well as I haven't heard *anything* from them in years. I liked Beth Gibbons' solo album when it was released a couple of years ago, and in interviews for that album, it was mentioned that that Portishead were on an extended hiatus, but were planning on getting together again to record. Hmmmm...I wouldn't hold my breath.

I will check out St. Etienne. They do sound like something I would like.

Cheers,
Mark
