I know it's a VERY tough business...and I'm sure the disappointments have
been many along the way for someone so talented...but as someone with no
musical talent whatsoever, such news of "turning off one's muse" doesn't
register one fuckin bit here. It's like giving up a kid for adoption...
Music is in my heart and soul...and I am *merely* a listener. Even
so...there's no way I can turn it off.
To chuck such talent in the trash is such a waste. God...please don't tell
me he's gonna be a Todd Rundgren and think that writing computer code and
designing bad websites is on the same level as making pop
music...PPPPPFFFFHHH!
Best wishes to Mr. Powell and family. I thank you for making music of
substanence that will linger in my world for many, many years.
