MY TOP 10 REASONS WHY HOLLYWOOD IS IN A SLUMP
1) Too many remakes
2) Too many sequels
3) Too many ensemble cast movies without any real screen time for the
participants to make a difference to the plot (stunt casting?)
4) Too much style and not enough plot
5) Too much CGI and not enough organic celluloid
6) The loss of irony and naivete
7) Alfred Hitchcock, Stanley Kubrick and Robert Wise are dead
8) Steven Speilberg, George Lucas and Woody Allen are still making movies
9) Japan and Bollywood are making better films
10) Arnold is still the Governor of California
Something's wrong when the best movie I saw out of 12 in the last 30 days
was "Herbie: Fully Loaded" with my kids.
