I was thinking the same thing. The Bob Welch era produced five albums and
all of them have at least a few good tracks. I personally picked up "Mystery
to Me" first as it had a couple of modest radio tracks..."Hypnotised" and
"Emerald Eyes" with Bob on lead vox. After that, it would probably be "Bare
Trees" or "Future Games" and then if you want to complete the set, pick up
"Penguin" and "Heroes are Hard to Find". Christine McVie usually has a few
good songs on each album as well ("Come A Little Closer", "Prove Your Love",
"Show Me a Smile" are a few that come to mind). Pre-Bob Welch, there is
"Kiln House" which I couldn't get into that much. And before that, you are
in the Peter Green era which is a whole different ballgame, but well worth
checking out. "Then Play On" is probably your best starting point and
easiest to find, and you'll probably recognize "Oh Well". I myself still
have to pick up "English Rose", another reportedly great Peter Green FM
album. Have fun listening :-) Cheers! Brent
