Congrats on the gig, Brian. I know the feeling all too well....having opened
for heroes of mine, Trooper, back in the early '90s.

CTV's been re-running the performance of "Money" which was fantastic
(complete with the original Dark Side of The Moon visuals on the
big-screens). Though, Waters and Gilmour never once looked at each other
(Gilmour tended to kibitz with drummer Nick Mason instead). Just wondering
who the SECOND guitarist on stage was, though....he didn't look familiar.
And the sax player absolutely nailed the solo.
Can anyone tell me what the hell Michael Stipe was doing with that massive
blue stripe across his face during R.E.M.s performance? Was it to distract
us from his horrible vocal performance? And could Motley Crue have been any
worse? Or the Tragically Hip? Or Green Day's "We Are The
Champions?"....c'est what?
You know there's something wrong in the cosmos when Mariah Carey and Sting
put on some of the best performances of the day.
