Am i the only one that thinks Fleetwood Mac's 'Mirage' album from 82-83 is a
great record? For me it's in many ways my favourite F Mac record.. combining
elements of the classic F Mac 'Rumours' era sound ('Love In Store', 'Wish
You Were Here', 'Gypsy', 'Hold Me') with a distilled version of the
quirkiness of 'Tusk' ('Eyes Of The World', 'I Can't Go Back', 'Empire
State'). As well as having what i believe are the last great Stevie Nicks
tracks before her voice went totally (the countrified 'I'm Alright' and the
powerful 'Straight Back' which does sound like it should have been on Bella
Donna).

Actually the more i think about it, this IS my favourite Fleetwood Mac
record.. and what i would truly consider to be the last REAL F Mac record.
It's like they said "We loved Tusk, but it wasn't as big as Rumours. Hey
Lindsay, how about we just reign the weirdness in, but let's not make
Rumours 2 either"

Plus, you can pick it up for almost nothing at most discount record stores
these days.

np: Love In Store - Fleetwood Mac (right up there with 'Think About Me' as
my favourite pure pop F Mac moments)
