Will - I agree with a lot of what you wrote about the album, even though overall I like it better than you do.
I HATE the production of the record, but I think there's a lot of great songs on there. I'd probably give it 3.5 stars myself, & I'm one of the "their debut album is in my all time Top 10" types. I think the lean toward a harder sound can be found more in some of the "King Of The School" tracks rather than
"Afradio", though.
I sure hope next time ( and allegedly, work on album #3 has been going on for awhile ) they go back to the glossier sound of the debut.
