As a St. Louis music scene veteran, it was inevitable that, at several
points in my life, I found myself sharing the stage with bunnygrunt.
Extremely nice people, but yes, their music was very DIY and large doses
could be lethal. That being said, certain members of the band were members
of Give Her a Lizard whose music was a bit more polished. (We're reaching
way back here to the underbelly of the St. Louis music scene circa 1994 when
I had a pop band called the Groupers--pre-Ken Kase Group, but the Groupers
also used to play with Sun Sawed in 1/2. I'm getting old!) I ran into Karen
a year or so ago and I think the band was playing again at that time, at
least for a show or two.
As for me, I would put them closer to Shonen Knife rather than anything else
I've read so far.
