I am the same "detaily"person ,but only with certain cd releases.New groups 
or cd's I don't have high expectations I tend to just press play .I only 
listen to a new cd on headphones late at night so I have no 
distractions.That gives it's first listen  some respect.Insane music freaks 
do these kind of things.
