I haven't heard it but the new Entertainment Weekly said this:
The Seattle power-pop act's first studio album since 1998 expresses anguish
about the state of American politics and culture.. But aside from the
bittersweet "Conversations," rote arrangements keep the CD from being seen
in a flattering Light. B- Douglas Wolk

Just curious on anyone's take on the new Posies record "Every Kind of Light"
(officially due June 28)
I've always viewed this band as a cornerstone of modern power pop, so my
expectations for this release are pretty high. Especially since their 1998
album was shaky, and it's been a seven year wait for anything new in a
full-length.
My take so far, is about half of it is fantastic and half is pretty
forgettable.
Some hot and cold parts throughout. Anyone else heard this record yet?
Bring it on...
Jeff
