I saw them the other night opening for Sloan.
I had downloaded their album from eMusic and liked it well enough in
my one or 2 listens but I was much more impressed with their live act.
Usually that is the other way around when I'm not already super
familiar with the band!
On the album they remind me of the beatles with bob dylan singing, but
live they gave off more of a Beatles + Kinks vibe. They even spoke
with what I can only assume was a fake accent, that made me giggle and
reminded me of a certain band called "The Living Daylights" that one
Adam Marsland might remember from a Phoenix gig.
ANYWAY, I'm going to give the album a few more spins. I'd see them
again and recommend people try and tape/tivo/watch the show if you
can.
